Tip of the Day

Want to put your email address on a webpage but don't want to get spammed?

Right now, a lot of people are avoiding those terrible robots that come and look for email addresses posted on websites. They find that address and then the address will get emailed and emailed... email that is unwanted. Even worse, some spammers find ways to email someone's contacts, and then they get spammed, too! Newsletters have been spammed. Overall, millions of email addresses have been spammed.

Now a lot of people put up their email addresses "disguised". To disguise an email address, simple don't write your actual email address in text on the page! For example, say you have an email address, and you say it like this: "newsletter at example dot com" then you should write it on your web page as:

newsletter(at)example.com
newsletter AT example DOT com
newsletter(at)example(dot)com

There are many other ways of writing an email address "safely" on a webpage. One good way is to use an image. You create the image on an image editor and then place it on your site if you wish.

Just a tip. And it should be VERY useful.
