A review on Google Chrome

I just downloaded Google Chrome 11. To be exact, 11.0.696.57. No, I don't use the beta version, but I do use Google Chrome as my default browser. It's my favorite browser, and it's also becoming more and more popular. It's fast, and different than ever. I have used it since version 3 or 4.

This post describes my opinion so far on Google Chrome:

Google Chrome is one of the best browsers ever made. It is very fast, and uses a very fast JavaScript engine (V8). The logo is pretty good, the design is something you wouldn't expect. I like how the tabs are at the top of the window instead of where tabs are always placed. I like the simple design. I am pleased with the HTML5 and CSS3 support of Chrome.

However, Chrome could use some more HTML5 and CSS3 support. Chrome should also run Flash a little better than it does (I'm saying this even though I dislike Flash). It needs to deal with HTML5 audio and video better than it does right now.

Another thing? Chrome has a "Developer Tools". When it comes to creating sensitive data with localStorage or form validation with JavaScript, Chrome allows you to remove elements (only for the page session) with Developer Tools. Say, if you added an external script to your page that validated the form, somebody could simply go onto the "Developer Tools" and remove the scripting. That's why you should use PHP for validation.

On the bright side again, I like the Web Store. I have only downloaded one app (Onslaught! Arena), but I like how they have apps and extensions that can be useful and fun. My guess is that Chrome got this from Apple's App Store. :D (That doesn't bother me.)

Google has placed some time into designing this browser. My vision of Chrome's future is that it may become a popular browser. Thanks, Google, for your awesome browser. I really like it.
