I just came here to post because it's been a while since my last one. I decided to write an interesting topic: What does HTML5 mean for JavaScript?
If you are aware of some or all of the new features in HTML5, you may understand that there are some attributes and elements that replace JavaScript functions and make things a lot easier. Which means that programmers may begin to use HTML5 more and more.
Form validation in JavaScript vs. form validation in HTML5 has a very big difference: JavaScript takes more coding because there's no special method for validation; HTML5 is extremely easy.
So what does HTML5 mean for JavaScript? It just means this: While JavaScript will continue being used for many things across the web as it is today, the language will probably stop being used for form validation as HTML5 becomes fully supported by browsers.
But I believe that JavaScript in general will continue its very wide use over the web.
Also: Some other features that you can do with JavaScript, Flash, etc. will definitely start bowing down to CSS3 and HTML5. More on this later... maybe, just maybe...
Have a good day.
