But what about the future versions of TheMadLibrary? What's going to happen with it? Will some of the methods and objects be removed? What kinds of new methods will be added? What's going to happen to XEA? Will XEA become an independent JavaScript library?
To start out, TheMadLibrary is just at its very beginning. It only has 16 methods and 7 objects. And as time goes by, TheMadLibrary may, in the future, become a very useful library. But even with its very few methods and objects, it is already useful in different ways.
Some methods and objects may become obsolete as well. New and more useful methods and objects will be coming in.
Also, XEA (eXtra Easy Animation), a part of TheMadLibrary (used for animation), may either become its own independent JavaScript library, or may become obsolete as well because of CSS3 animation.
I am already thinking of adding new methods. Some methods/objects that could be put in the library:
- Finding and highlighting certain text in the document, like most applications do.
- Password-protecting a website (not as secure, though, so this may not happen).
- More CSS methods.
